Beginner classes are scheduled for 7:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday nights.

Class will always begin with a warm up and a run through of the 5×5 drill – the core training drill of our school.

The rest of the class will be a lesson from the beginner’s curriculum.   This includes lessons on stance and footwork, wrestling, boxing, knife, singlestick, and longsword.

Sparring at the beginner level is slow work only.  No armour, low speed, low power.  Slow work is for trying out new things, perfecting old things, and generally getting your body used to doing what you tell it to.

Class ends with a nice cool down and stretching period.
