Happy 2015! To kick off the new year, we’re adding another evening of classes to our weekly roster, and updating the weekly training schedule. As of January 5th, we will be moving our rapier and Beginner Program classes to Wednesday evenings, and adding a new Advanced Class on Thursdays.

The new Thursday class will follow a “flavour of the month” format that lets students try out additional Western Martial Arts that are not a part of our core curriculum. We will begin with longsword in January, and switch to cane and stick fighting in February.

Our new class schedule will be as follows:

Mondays, 7pm – 9pmOne Thousand Rivers

Advanced Class – wrestling and knife work

Wednesdays, 7pm – 9pmScottish Cultural Centre

Beginner Program
Advanced Class – boxing and rapier

Thursdays, 7pm – 9pmOne Thousand Rivers

Advanced Class – “flavour of the month”

Saturdays, 1pm – 2pmAsh Park

Strength and Conditioning

Our 1 class/week rate will remain the same ($75/month), and our 2 class/week rate of $100/month has now been upgraded to give students unlimited classes for the same price. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to pick up a new weapon or fighting style, or needed some extra motivation to up your training and meet those New Year’s resolutions, now is the time!

For more details on each evening’s class structure, check out the full description of our Advanced Classes, and make sure to check the calendar for Beginner Program start dates, class cancellations, and upcoming events.

We’ve got a lot more exciting changes planned for this year, and are very much looking forward to sharing them with you in the upcoming months.
