Community Sparring

Join us Saturdays from 12pm - 2pm for community sparring! Every weekend, we open up our training space to Vancouver's martial arts community for sparring, exchanging ideas and techniques, and social time. Everyone is welcome to drop in, regardless of training background or experience level, and attendance is always free.

You can expect to meet people interested in swordplay, grappling, knife combat, boxing, and other striking arts. It's a great opportunity to see what we're all about, get to know our students and instructors, or spend some time playing with a martial art that's outside of your usual wheelhouse. Some of our regular drop-in visitors practice Savate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Italian Cane Fighting, and more. This is not a competitive space, but a chance to relax and play with like-minded fighters in a low-pressure environment. Please note that no formal instruction will be provided during this time.

If you're visiting us for the first time, you'll need to go through a safety orientation, get to know the rules of our space, and do a quick assessment with one of our instructors to make sure you're able to spar safely. We do keep a range of safety equipment on-site that's available to all users, and you're welcome to bring your own gear. If you want to bring in a new weapon or training tool that's not part of our usual repertoire, please check in with our coaches when you arrive (or email us in advance) to make sure it's appropriate for our space.

We look forward to seeing you next Saturday!
